Radix was founded with the vision of a globally scalable DLT, that does not compromise on decentralization, security, or atomic composability. It’s a vision that started with Dan and one that’s inspired countless builders, validators, and contributors to push beyond what anyone thought was possible.
The most recent progress towards this goal is the Hyperscale network. Many in the community have rallied around this research network to prove that Radix can deliver true linear scalability without compromising composability in real-world scenarios and tests.
Today, we’re proud to share that Timan is joining the Radix Foundation as Interim Hyperscale Lead to continue that journey.
For many in the Radix community, Timan needs no introduction. A long-time contributor, founder, and builder, he has been deeply involved in Hyperscale testing since 2023, working closely with Dan and others to help prepare the codebase for open-source release earlier this year.
Timan brings more than 25 years of experience building and scaling technology startups such as one of the earliest social networks in 2000. He has led multiple engineering and product teams through growth and transition, and later served as interim CTO for several early-stage ventures. In the world of crypto, he is best known for his work with DefiPlaza and later for founding Astrolescent.
What first drew Timan to Hyperscale was its unique combination of linear scalability and atomic composability, achieved on ordinary hardware. Running high-performance consensus from a MacBook on Wi-Fi made it clear to him that Radix was solving one of the hardest problems in blockchain with uncommon elegance.
Timan worked directly with Dan in the months leading up to the Hyperscale open source release, reviewing code, contributing documentation, and helping organize early testing efforts. Today, he steps into this role with a deep respect for Dan’s vision and a clear mission: to bring Hyperscale’s promise of unlimited scalability to life and prepare it for a public world record attempt.
As Interim Hyperscale Lead, Timan will coordinate ongoing tests, work closely with validators and partners, and ensure transparent progress updates for the community. His focus is on delivering tangible milestones while maintaining the high standards of engineering rigor that Dan embodied.
“Dan’s work on Hyperscale was extraordinary,” Timan shared. “He showed that scalability and composability don’t have to be trade-offs; they can coexist. My goal is to help see that vision through, from testing to proof.”
This next phase is about proving, once again, what makes Radix different: deep engineering, community collaboration, and the belief that great infrastructure changes everything.
Timan brings the technical depth, calm leadership, and shared sense of purpose needed to guide Hyperscale through this critical stage. We’re grateful to have him stepping up and carrying the torch forward.
The mission continues.
